Method: Provide data based content recommendations & insights

Goal: Improve follower growth and engagement

Purpose: Improve athlete value and marketability on Twitter

Sports agents and marketing firms started to see endorsement deals and player marketability enhanced by the number of followers a player possessed on Twitter and the direct engagement created with fans. While aware of the opportunity and need for optimization, none of these parties understood how to approach social media strategically. They didn’t possess the expertise or necessary tools. They also lacked the proper ammunition and insights in order to properly negotiate on their client’s behalf.

Strengthen Sponsor Demand through Twitter

Predict Effect worked with several athletes, including Larry Fitzgerald, CC Sabathia, Stephan Curry, David Ortiz, Steven Jackson, Greg Jennings and others in order to provide them weekly tweet & content recommendations on how they can best grow and engage their followers. PE needed to analyze each player’s account, follower engagement, fan activity and sporting events in order to provide them with optimal strategies for content, best time to tweet and events & news they should be commenting on.

Use Predict Effect to provide customized weekly content recommendations and reports to athletes. Notify of upcoming events and topics/content to be used in tweets. Highlight the topics and causes for spikes in follower growth and high engaging tweets. Provide customized reports for marketing and recruiting.

Each athlete with which Predict Effect provided content recommendations and feedback showed a significant increase in follower growth and fan engagement (RT’s, mentions, etc) from week to week.
